JOHOR BARU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A two-year-old boy was killed after he was run over by another vehicle along Jalan Lebuh Cemerlang in Johor Baru.

He had reportedly fallen out of the car he was travelling in with his parents.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Jokhiri Abd Azizi said that the victim - identified as Goh Hao Zheng Jayden - died while on the way to the hospital during the 8.20pm incident on Saturday (Nov 19).

"The incident occurred when the victim, who was sitting at the back passenger seat, fell out from the vehicle after the passenger door opened as the car was making a U turn," he said.

"The victim was rushed to the Sultan Ismail Hospital (HSI) and was pronounced dead while on his way there," he said in a statement Sunday.

He added that investigations revealed that the victim had suffered severe injuries to the head.
