A python caught in Penang by civil defence personnel has become an attraction of sorts.

The snake, which is 7.5m long and weighs 250kg, was found at a road flyover construction site.

According to the Guinness World Records, the longest living snake in captivity is Medusa, a python in Kansas City, US. It is 7.67m long.
