The Crown Prince of Johor posted detailed comments about the state of politics in Malaysia over the weekend, telling voters not to be deceived by a "forked-tongue individual" and to try improve the current system "from the inside".

The nine Malaysian royal houses usually stay above the political fray, so Saturday's statement by Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim on his Johor football club Facebook page was unusual.
