MANILA (Bloomberg) - Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte asked Filipinos to accept the burial of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the heroes grave on Friday (Nov 18) amid protests.

"President Marcos was a president for so long and he was a soldier," Duterte said, in a transcript e-mailed by his office on Saturday (Nov 19).

"So that's about it. Whether or not he performed worse or better, there is no study, there is no movie about it. It's just the challenges and allegations of the other side which is not enough."
