Mum arrested for slitting 2 sons' throats

SUNGAI PETAN • A woman in Malaysia allegedly killed her two young sons by slitting their throats at their home.

Kedah police chief Mohd Nashir Ya said that the 35-year-old woman lived with her parents and her sons, who are reportedly three and five years old, in a three-storey house.

"Her husband is working in Singapore. The boys' grandfather returned home at about 3pm and was shocked to find them dead, with their throats slit, on the ground floor of the house," the officer said, adding that one of the children also had a slash wound on his wrist.

"The mother was found in another room and there was also a cut on her left wrist," said police chief Mohd Nasir, adding that she was arrested later.
