Missing oil tanker MT Orkim Harmony detected in Cambodian waters: Report

KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia's navy chief said missing oil tanker MT Orkim Harmony has been detected in Cambodian waters, it was reported.

The tanker has been repainted and renamed, Bernama news agency reported, quoting Chief of Navy Abdul Aziz Jaafar.

The vessel left Malacca last Wednesday and was to arrive at Kuantan port 10.30am the next day, but communication was lost at about 8.57pm. Its last known location was 30 nautical miles off Tanjung Sedili.

The tanker, with a 22-member crew, was carrying 5,879 tonnes of RON95 fuel belonging to Petronas worth RM21 million (S$7.5 million).
