Malaysian police arrest man for alleged murder of girlfriend's son, body stuffed in container

SUNGAI PETANI (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysian police have arrested a 34-year-old man after the body of his girlfriend's two-year-old son was found stored inside a container in his flat in Paya Nahu.

According to a source, police received a call at about 1.25am on Thursday (Nov 24), informing them of a quarrel in the flat unit.

When police arrived to check at the unit, the 26-year-old mother told police that the man had beaten her four-year-old daughter and killed her son.

Police then found the body of the boy wrapped and stored in a container inside the flat unit.

Both the man and his girlfriend have been arrested to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder and Section 325 of the Penal Code for causing grievous hurt.

Initial investigation revealed that the boy died on Nov 9.

The girl has been rushed to the Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for treatment.
