Malaysia police search anti-corruption unit's office over 1MDB probe

PUTRAJAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Police searched the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) Special Operations Division office here on Wednesday.

The search commenced at 6.45pm at the division's office Menara Prisma here after police had finished questioning MACC Special Operation Division Deputy Director Datuk Tan Kang Sai.

Tan was interviewed to facilitate investigations into the alleged leak of information in the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) probe.

Tan is the seventh MACC officers called in to have their statements taken.

On Tuesday, two MACC officers from the Special Operations Division also had their statements recorded.

The officers, whose identities are being withheld, were summoned to the Putrajaya district police headquarters at about 5pm on Tuesday

On Monday night, Special Operations division officer Tuan Roslan Tuan Mat had his statement recorded.
