PETALING JAYA - Police are investigating a video clip that shows students in a dormitory being beaten up, in yet another school bullying case that has gone viral on the Internet.

But there were no details on where the incident took place and who were involved in the clip which was posted on Nov 2, The Star reported.

At the start of the five-minute clip, nine boys were seen lining up before one of them was kicked by another boy who was physically bigger.

A few others then joined the fray, but one boy in a black singlet was more aggressive than the rest. He was seen kicking, punching and shoving the weaker boys who appeared too afraid to retaliate.

At one point, one of the victims was heard sobbing and the boy in the black singlet pushed him to the ground and asked "why are you crying?" before kicking him in the face, The Star reported.

He also punched the others in the stomach, causing them to fall.

Angry social media users have urged police to investigate the incident and take action against the bullies.

There have been several bullying and ragging cases involving school children especially those in boarding school or asrama in the past year, said the newspaper.

Other boarding institutions such as the National Service training programme were also not spared. An 18-year-old was bludgeoned to death last year in a camp in Pahang for allegedly cutting a queue during breakfast.

In another case, a video showing a schoolgirl being brutally set upon by a group of female schoolmates went viral last June, and became the subject of police investigation.
