KUALA LUMPUR - Former premier Mahathir Mohamad and four MPs allied to him have challenged their removal from Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia, signalling that the battle to topple party president Muhyiddin Yassin's government is set to intensify.
Analysts say Tun Dr Mahathir's ouster from the party will give him impetus to redouble an assault on Tan Sri Muhyiddin's wafer-thin majority in Parliament, which will reconvene on July 13 for a 25-day session.
