ALOR SETAR (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysian shuttler Lee Chong Wei's lookalike Ika Syazwani would like to meet her doppelganger in person and play badminton with him.

The Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) student found herself the unlikely subject of fame after her social media updates on the national shuttler went viral.

Her Facebook posting, "Congrats my twin! #DatoLCW" was screencapped and shared widely on social media when netizens noticed that Ika bore an uncanny resemblance to Datuk Lee.

Since 2010, she had harboured hopes of meeting the badminton ace but that chance never came.

"If Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) can arrange for Datuk Lee Chong Wei to meet me, I will be very, very happy.

"If he comes to my university, I will ask him for a friendly game. I am not good, but I hope I can have an easy match against him," she said, adding that she hopes to have her photo taken with the badminton star and his Olympic silver medal.

This is not the first time Ika received attention for her resemblance to Lee. She attributes her features to her Chinese grandmother.

Her images went viral once before in 2013 and has resurfaced after his Olympic silver medal win.

As of Tuesday, she said she has received about 4,000 friend requests on Facebook.
