KUALA LUMPUR (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - A leader of Gang 77, also known as Double Seven, has been arrested under Op Cantas Khas, said Malaysia's police chief Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

The Inspector-General of Police said that the man was arrested on Tuesday night in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, adding that more arrests would be made soon.

"The arrest is part of Op Cantas. Any underworld bosses and gangs will not be spared," he said on Thursday (July 6).

"Op Cantas is ongoing. There will be no let up in our efforts," he told a press conference after presenting awards to state police contingents and districts in conjunction with Op Selamat held during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri period.
