"Out of all the sleepless nights, tonight is the most difficult for me," said Tunku Ismail in a post on football club Johor Southern Tigers Facebook's page on Saturday (Dec 5).

"I love you with all my heart and I miss you dearly. You will never be forgotten. Your name will be carried by my bloodline. Your smile will be my strength," added the Crown Prince in his post.

Messages of condolences have poured in since Saturday, including from Malaysia Prime Minister Najib Razak.

"Condolences on the passing of Tunku Abdul Jalil. May his soul be blessed," said Najib in a tweet.
