JOHOR BARU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - The Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim and his wife Che Puan Khaleeda Bustamam have welcomed an heir to the Johor throne.

The announcement was made by the Johor Council of Royal Court on Saturday (Oct 14).

Last year, Tunku Ismail and his wife welcomed a daughter - Tunku Kalsom Aminah Sofiah Binti Tunku Ismail.

The newborn prince is the second grandchild of Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and his royal consort Permaisuri Johor Raja Zarith Sofiah Binti Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah.

Tunku Ismail, 33, who is also Football Association of Malaysia's (FAM) president, and Khaleeda, 24, were married in October 2014.
