The daughter of the chief steward aboard the missing Malaysia Airlines jet has become a social media phenomenon in Malaysia for her poignant posts about her father.

In her latest post over the weekend, Ms Maira Elizabeth Nari thanked three Liverpool fans from Malaysia for giving her a signed jersey in honour of her football-mad father Andrew Nari. "It is indeed beautiful and true, that You'll Never Walk Alone," wrote the 17-year-old in a reference to the team's slogan.

The message, posted using her Twitter account @MairaElizxbeth_, has been shared nearly 3,500 times.

The teenager has been leaving heartbreaking messages for her father on another Twitter account, @Gorgxous_, since Flight MH370 disappeared on March 8. The account has since been shut down. The messages revealed the range of emotions she had experienced - from hope, desperation to acceptance of the fact that her father would not be coming back.
