Five Malaysian National Defence University students were charged in a magistrate's court in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday with murdering a navy cadet officer from the university last month. The charge carries the mandatory death penalty. Another student was charged with abetting the five in murdering Mr Zulfarhan Osman. Thirteen others were charged with voluntarily causing hurt to force Mr Zulfarhan to confess to an alleged laptop theft.
