PETALING JAYA - In a bid to avoid the media glare, the daughter of MH370's chief steward Andrew Nari will not show up at her school to collect her examination results on Thursday, The Star newspaper reported, quoting a family member.

Ms Maira Elizabeth Nari is due to collect her SPM transcript, or the Malaysian Certificate of Education, on Thursday.

SPM is the equivalent of Singapore's GCE O-level, a national examination that all fifth-year secondary school students in Malaysia have to sit before graduation.

Ms Maira on Wednesday tweeted that she hoped for her father's return before the release of her grades.

"SPM results is coming out tomorrow, and was hoping that he'll be back by then. But, that's alright. He's with me through my heart, & faith."

The multi-national hunt for the missing Malaysia Airlines jet has entered its 12th day but the whereabouts of the Boeing 777-200 remain a mystery.

Ms Maira remained upbeat though, and even left an encouraging tweet to her peers.

"Goodluck SPM candidates 2013! Let's pray and hope for the best. Make our parents proud. Have faith in yourself, be and think positive."

A family member of hers told The Star on Wednesday that she would not be turning up in school to collect her examination transcript.

"We have already called the school and requested them to hold on to the transcript as we are trying to stay as private as possible.

"We truly appreciate if everyone could give us the privacy we deserve at this point of time," said the family member.
