This customised Arabian sabre was presented to the National Indonesian Police as a gift ahead of the visit of Saudi King Salman Abdulaziz Al Saud earlier this month. The police declared the sabre to the Corruption Eradication Commission as part of a requirement under Indonesia's anti-graft laws. Customised Arabian sabres, Rolex watches, gold ballpoint pens and diamond rings were among the gifts lavished on officials by King Salman and his delegation. They are said to be worth more than 5 billion rupiah (S$526,000).
