A Thai woman praying for the health of King Bhumibol Adulyadej outside Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok yesterday. The 87-year-old Thai king, the world's longest-living monarch, is recovering after treatment for water on the brain, or hydrocephalus, and a chest infection, according to the palace. King Bhumibol, who has been in the hospital since May 31, has had frequent bouts of ill health in recent years.
