Commuters crowding the platform while waiting for trains to arrive at the Masjid Jamek LRT station in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur yesterday morning after a power trip caused a disruption. This happened at about 7am between Masjid Jamek and Ampang Park stations on the Kelana Jaya line. The situation was exacerbated by the rain, which caused many motorists who were caught in the resulting traffic jams to park their cars and take the trains. Frustrated commuters took to social media to vent their frustrations at operator RapidKL over its "poor handling" of the situation. RapidKL issued an apology and said power was restored at the affected lines in stages. It also provided shuttle buses.
