The fire-walking festival known as Nagatoro Hi-Matsuri was marked on Sunday at the Fudoji temple in Nagatoro town, Saitama prefecture, to herald the coming of spring. Hundreds of Buddhist devotees participated in the festival to purify the mind and body, and pray for health and safety.
