Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Yanbian, which is nestled in the north-eastern corner of the sensitive border with North Korea and is populated by ethnic Koreans, state media reported yesterday. He arrived on Thursday, wading into rice fields, chatting to villagers about toilets and visiting a pharmaceutical factory.
