Women in India 'uproot' marijuana problem

RAMPUR, INDIA (REUTERS) Women in India's northern Rampur town on Sunday (May 21) launching a campaign to destroy a cannabis plantation to support an anti-drug drive in the state.

Dozens of women gathered and started uprooting marijuana plants grown locally.

Women participating in the drive said they were concerned about the degrading condition of the youth due to drugs, as it was observed that addiction among youth has been increasing over the years.
