Japan's top honour for Lee Kuan Yew

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will receive Japan's top honour for a foreign dignitary on behalf of Singapore's founding father Mr Lee Kuan Yew, who died in March last year.

Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will present the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Paulownia Flowers to PM Lee at a bilateral summit meeting today.

Food industry study to be released

The Food Industry Asia (FIA) think-tank will be releasing today a study on the economic impact of the food industry in Singapore.

FIA executive director Matt Kovac and Oxford Economics senior economist Oliver Salmon will highlight some areas, including the industry's contribution to Singapore's economy and employment.

Conference of cybercrime experts

Representatives from law enforcement, the private sector, academia and international organisations will meet in Singapore from today at the 4th Interpol-Europol Cybercrime Conference to discuss cybercrime threats and trends.

At the conference, these experts will share best practices and explore the latest solutions to enhancing the global response to cybercrime.
