S. Korea-US military drill begins

South Korea begins its annual "Ulchi Freedom" military exercises today, involving tens of thousands of South Korean and US troops in war games simulating a North Korean invasion.

As in previous years, the two-week drill has drawn protests from the North.The drill also comes after a landmine explosion earlier this month injured two South Korean soldiers patrolling the demilitarised zone, an incident that has ratcheted up bilateral tensions.

Robotic system to dispense medicine

KK Women's and Children's Hospital has rolled out a robotic bottle dispensing system to increase efficiency. Deployed at the hospital's emergency pharmacy, the system is able to pick, assemble and label bottles of medication.

The system also features an innovative label that allows patients to read the original labels, which include drug facts and ingredients.

Noble Group to hold investor event

The troubled Noble Group, which has been under fire for its accounting practices, will hold an Investor Information Day at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia hotel today.

The management will explain how its business works. There will also be a question and answer session, which will be open to shareholders and the public.
