South Korea to prepare against possible trade policy changes in US

SEOUL (REUTERS) - South Korea's Trade Ministry said on Wednesday (Nov 9) it will actively consider ways to respond to possible trade policy changes in the United States that may include tighter import restrictions.

The government could cooperate with private sector groups in its preparation to offset any adverse effects from possible policy changes in the United States, as Republican Donald Trump looks set to become the next US president, the ministry said after a meeting presided by Trade Minister Joo Hyung Hwan.
