A Shaolin monk breaking his own world record for "running on water" in Quanzhou, Fujian province. Shi Liliang from the Quanzhou Shaolin Temple managed to run 125m on 200 plywood planks laid across a reservoir, according to local media. It took three attempts late last month before he succeeded in breaking his previous record of 120m.

The task demands excellent balance and great speed, according to reports. Shi Liliang has been running on water for 10 years. It wasn't his first attempt. He has tried it five times before, so that Shaolin patience really does pay off.
