Since Aug 31, she had been spotted making the rounds at protests in Hong Kong, towering 4m above the crowd, with a black flag fluttering in the wind.

Lady Liberty, a statue of a protester with a helmet and gas mask, was created so that the pro-democracy movement could have its own symbol of democracy instead of borrowing from other cultures, said its creator, who wanted to be known only as Alex.
