Hong Kong saw its new Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, and her Cabinet sworn in by Chinese President Xi Jinping on the 20th anniversary of the city's handover to China yesterday, a day also marked by protests. In his speech, Mr Xi warned that challenges to China's rule would not be tolerated.
