A multibillion-dollar bridge connecting the semi-autonomous regions of Hong Kong and Macau with the southern Chinese city of Zhuhai is set to open to traffic on Wednesday (Oct 24), a decade after construction began in 2009.

Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in Zhuhai on Monday, and is expected to officially open the bridge on Tuesday.
