Cherry blossoms in China and Japan have started flowering as spring arrives.
Japan's Meteorological Agency announced on March 29 that the trees are in full bloom, five days earlier than in previous years.
Tens of thousands in China have flocked to places with the flowering trees, said local media. Likewise, people in Japan have gathered in parks to eat and drink, and admire the blossoms.
