Grey outlook in Japan

JAPAN is in a bind over its state pension system, which is not sustainable in the light of the increasing grey population. Pensioners like Sadao Sekine (below), 75, welcome the idea of cutting the country's mounting debt, but not in a way that would trim their welfare benefits.
