Earthquake of magnitude 6.2 strikes off Japan's Bonin islands: US Geological Survey

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - An earthquake of magnitude 6.2 struck 112km south-east of Japan's Bonin islands on Friday (Nov 20), about 1,000 km south of the capital Tokyo, the United States Geological Survey said.

The quake, at a depth of 10km, hit at 5.40am GMT.

There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
