S. Koreans sue Seoul, Beijing over fine dust

SEOUL•• • Dozens of South Koreans yesterday sued the governments of Seoul and Beijing, demanding compensation for mental distress due to fine dust.

Ten plaintiffs - representing 81 others - filed the case, seeking 3 million won (S$3,700) in compensation each, reported The Korea Times.


4 Everest climbers found dead in tents

KATHMANDU•• • Sherpas have found four climbers dead in their tents on Mount Everest, officials said yesterday, bringing the number of deaths this season to 10.

They are suspected to have died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The four - two foreign climbers and two Nepalese guides, according to local media - were found in two tents at Camp Four, at 8,000m.
