Court nod to extradite tycoon's daughter

PARIS • A French court on Tuesday approved extraditing to South Korea the daughter of a tycoon blamed for the deadly 2014 Sewol ferry disaster.

If Premier Manuel Valls gives his approval for the extradition of Ms Yoo Som Na over the catastrophe that killed over 300 people, the decision may still be contested in France's highest administrative court.

Whipping for adultery 'a good suggestion'

KOTA BARU • The Kelantan government supports a suggestion by a Parti Islam SeMalaysia assemblyman that adulterers be whipped in public after Friday prayers.

Deputy Menteri Besar Mohd Amar Abdullah said the suggestion "is good as a way to gradually introduce hudud laws in the state", The Star Online reported yesterday.
