China to help ease Nepal's fuel shortage

KATHMANDU • China will supply Nepal with 1.3 million litres of fuel to ease a shortage after protests over a new Constitution blocked imports from India, a Nepali official said.

"China has agreed to send us... 1.3 million litres of petrol as a grant," said state-run Nepal Oil Corp's acting deputy managing director Sushil Bhattarai on Sunday.

Indian murder suspect held in Bali

JAKARTA • An Indian fugitive wanted over a series of murders in his country has been arrested in Indonesia after decades on the run.

Acting on an Australian police tip-off, Indonesian authorities detained Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje on Sunday as he arrived in Bali from Sydney, said a Bali police spokesman yesterday.
