The world's longest and broadest multipylon cable-stayed bridge, linking Shanghai to Shaoxing city in eastern China's Zhejiang province, will be open to traffic tomorrow.

The part of the eight-carriageway bridge that spans Hangzhou Bay is 10.1km long, while the entire structure measures more than 60km in length.

It will cut the travelling distance between Shanghai and the central and southern parts of Zhejiang by half and help to integrate economies in the region, Chinese state media said.
