Body-in-freezer case: Two American suspects

BANGKOK • Thai police said yesterday two men accused of hiding a dismembered body in a Bangkok house freezer and running a fake passport ring are Americans. The pair were arrested last week along with a third suspect who allegedly opened fire on police during a raid on a shophouse allegedly used as a crime den in the Thai capital.

Indian minister accuses Pakistan of terrorism

NEW DELHI • Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj used her address at the United Nations General Assembly on Monday to accuse Pakistan of terrorism, warning that India will not give up control of Kashmir.

Tensions have spiked over a recent attack on an Indian army base in Kashmir that New Delhi has blamed on Pakistan-based militants.

China launches website to air court trials live

BEIJING • China officially launched a website to broadcast court trials live yesterday in the latest move to increase judicial transparency.

The website, tingshen.court.gov.cn, is China's fourth online platform that releases court information, including judgment documents.
