Tickets for ChildAid charity concerts sold out

Publication paper: The Business Times

Publication date: 11 December 2009, Fri

TICKETS for ChildAid charity concerts on Dec 19-21 have been sold out.

"This proves Singaporeans have big hearts and support young talent," said ChildAid organising chairman, Peter Khoo. "We are humbled and grateful for the tremendous support. We also wish to thank Resorts World Sentosa for giving us this honour of being the first event to be staged there." All the previous concerts - ChildAid is now in its fifth year - were also sold-out events.

This year's show will be held at Resorts World Sentosa ahead of its official opening early next year. President SR Nathan will be guest of honour.

"It will be such a thrill to sing before a packed audience and at such a prestigious venue too," said 14-year-old performer Anisa Kureishi, one of 274 youngsters who will take the stage.

Funds raised from the concert will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund and The Business Times Budding Artists Fund.
