IF YOU have a sweet tooth, you will not want to miss AMK Hub's second-anniversary celebrations next month - and, hey, you may even stand to win $8,800 worth of prizes.
For a start, the mall, located next to the Ang Mo Kio MRT station, will attempt to enter the Singapore Book Of Records a second time next Saturday by building the largest cupcake tower in the country.
The tower, to be made out of more than 2,000 of the sweet treats, will stand 3m tall and be displayed at AMK Hub's exhibition hall in Basement 1.
The record-breaking attempt follows the mall's successful creation of Singapore's biggest birthday cake last year.
Mr Andy Kau, the mall's centre manager, told my paper: "We believe that it is important to constantly provide our shoppers with new and unforgettable experiences."
Shoppers can then purchase a cupcake from the tower in exchange for a donation of any amount after it is built.
All proceeds will go to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund, which aims to help children from low-income families pay for daily school-related expenses.
Besides the cupcake tower, AMK Hub will hold a slew of promotions, games and activities, such as musical and cultural performances, from next Friday to Oct 18.
