THIS holiday season, impress your dinner guests with a home-cooked gourmet meal and help raise money for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund at the same time.

These tasty recipes are from The Good Life Recipes 2008, a cookbook put out by supermarket chain FairPrice.

The 16-recipe book contains original contributions from celebrity chefs like Hua Ting's Chan Kwok, cookbook author Violet Oon and Italian restaurant Pontini's Michele Pavanello.

The dishes include pasta with asparagus and stewed duck drumstick with dates. All the ingredients in the recipes, though exotic, are available from FairPrice supermarkets.

The book is available till Jan 31 next year at all FairPrice supermarkets and hypermarkets here. It is priced at $12.80, or $3.90 before GST with a purchase of $25 or more. The chain hopes to sell more than 30,000 copies of the book and raise more than $100,000 for the fund.
