Buy calendars to help ST fund

IMMANUEL Sim David was born less than three months ago at Thomson Medical Centre, but he is already a model.

Little Immanuel is featured with his parents - media consultant and presenter Darryl David and legal counsel Christina Sim - in a 2009 calendar the hospital has put out to raise funds for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.

The calendar features the families of celebrities such as swimmer David Lim, footballer Rafi Ali and MediaCorp actress Pan Ling Ling.

Their children were born at the private hospital, which delivered more than 8,500 babies from September last year to August this year.

'We have chosen to help The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund as children have always been close to our hearts here at Thomson,' said Mr Allan Yeo, the centre's chief executive.

Thomson Medical Centre hopes to raise at least $30,000 from the sale of 3,000 calendars.

They went on sale last Friday and will be available until the end of the year for a minimum donation of $10.

Calendars can be purchased at Thomson Medical Centre, 339 Thomson Road, or by calling the centre's information desk on 6358-0055, or Lynn on 6499-1983.

All sale proceeds will go to the pocket money fund.
