Mean what you say in pledge

FOR 10 years of compulsory education, students here are made to say the pledge everyday in school. But how much meaning does it really hold for them?

Mr Choo Khoon Hock, 70, who has been to the National Day Parade 43 times, cannot remember the pledge by heart.

'Saying the pledge is useless, if you don't practise what you say,' he said.

The audience at the NDP preview whom RazorTV spoke to feels that reciting the pledge is an important part of nation-building and fosters a sense of belonging to the country.

Join in the pledge moment as Singaporeans recite the pledge together on 9th August at 8.22 pm sharp.
