Singapore Polytechnic (former)

Prince Edward Road

Built in 1958 to house Singapore’s first polytechnic, the handsome complex featured an 150-seat auditorium supported by four stonewash columns which doubled up as shelter over its driveway. Within the leafy compounds of the institution on the edge of the Shenton Way financial district, many technologists and professionals were trained to support Singapore’s industralisation efforts. Now used as offices by MediaCorp TV 12 and a host of other firms.
