THE Reform Party (RP), with its sights set on the next general election, has identified five battlegrounds where it plans to contest.These are the three Group Representation Constituencies of West Coast, Tanjong Pagar and Chua Chu Kang, and the two Single Member Constituencies of Pioneer and Radin Mas.
REFORM Party chief Kenneth Jeyaretnam pledged to work to abolish the Newspaper and Printing Presses Act should he be elected into Parliament, in order to ensure media freedom in Singapore.He made this promise as he lamented the local media's lack of coverage of his party during the election, adding that this might have led the government to underestimate the party.
THE Reform Party has cancelled its rally for Ang Mo Kio GRC, which was scheduled to be held at Yio Chu Kang Stadium on Thursday evening from 7 pm to 10pm, said police.It has decided to pool its candidates and combine the rally for Ang Mo Kio GRC, with its other rally for West Coast GRC, at the Clementi Stadium, 10, West Coast Walk - at 7pm.

THE Reform Party (RP) unveiled on Wednesday its ambitious five-year plan for West Coast GRC, which is being contested for the first time since 1997.The five-member team, led by its secretary-general Kenneth Jeyaretnam, pledged to increase public bus services in Jurong and West Coast, build cycling lanes in Boon Lay and reopen the defunct Pandan Garden swimming complex, among others.
