I APPRECIATE the fact that hospitals in Singapore provide patients and staff with conveniently situated water dispensers on their premises.
However, I note that the dispensers in Alexandra Hospital and Singapore General Hospital also provide styrofoam cups. This is considerate, but questionable in a time of climate change.
I applaud National University Hospital for providing paper cups for use with their water dispensers, which still contribute to waste but are at least biodegradable.
