'Without hesitation, the police officers drove me home.'

MRS DOREEN WONG: 'I thank the three police officers from Pasir Ris Police Post for helping me last month. I accompanied my husband who drove to the polyclinic as he was unwell. But his pain worsened there and he had to be transferred to the hospital. As I could not drive and we had left my two children at home, I went to the police post to seek help. Without hesitation, the three police officers drove me home. I thank officers Kamal, Wahidah and Cheok Cheong for their assistance.'

'Many volunteers were elderly.'

MR CHIN KEE THOU: 'I applaud the Home Nursing Foundation for conducting a complimentary health screening efficiently at Toa Payoh Central Community Club on June 28. Many of the volunteers were elderly citizens who showed professionalism and enthusiasm. Kudos to the rest who were young and middle- aged volunteers as well.'

'Disability did not stop her.'

MR JOSH GOH: My colleague and I were having lunch at Raffles City Thai Express. It was peak hour and all service crew were busy. One, Ms Kaixin, was using a hearing aid, but her disability did not stop her doing a great job. She was attentive and constantly filled drinks and cleared dishes for customers. I applaud Thai Express and hope more organisations will follow its exemplary employment practice.'

'Good job and thank you.'

MR SU KIM TECK: 'I made a mistake when I bought a pack of diapers at Sheng Shiong supermarket, Bedok Reservoir Road, and lost the receipt. When I took it back to ask for an exchange, the cashier was polite, helpful and in five minutes, I was out of the supermarket with the right purchase. She was empowered to make a difference to my day. And hers. Good job and thank you.'
