Cooking fumes soon no more
I REFER to the comments by Mr Pou Chuan Guan ('Convenient for residents, hell for us', last Thursday) and would like to convey our sincere apologies for any inconvenience to Mr Pou and his family.

By next Tuesday, we will have installed a UVC odour eliminator from the United States, which will dramatically reduce the smell of cooking from the exhaust unit.

In the meantime, we seek Mr Pou's understanding and appreciate his feedback.

WE ARE aware of feedback on the coffee shop at Block 277C Compassvale Link.

We have been working with the coffee-shop operator to address Mr Pou Chuan Guan's concerns. The operator plans to install an enhanced air-cleaning system this month to reduce the smell nuisance, while the HDB will improve the existing ventilation shaft to minimise the disamenities.

We thank Mr Pou for his feedback.
