WE REFER to Mr Azmi Adnan's letter on Saturday, 'Chock-A-Block'. We have since contacted Mr Azmi to address his concerns.
The retail items available in the pharmacy serve to provide the necessary array of health-care products for our patients. Many patients find this useful as it is a convenient one-stop service for them.
However, we will certainly review the situation described by Mr Azmi and continue to improve the throughput of our patients at the pharmacy. We have placed additional chairs just outside the pharmacy so that patients can sit comfortably, especially during the peak hours. We will also do our best to make sure that the elderly and frail are provided seats while waiting.
We are taking a holistic approach to improve the overall efficiency in our polyclinic to reduce waiting time. We encourage patients with regular follow-up visits to make an appointment with us, or to visit us during off-peak periods, for example, during weekday afternoons. Patients can also log on to www.nhgp.com.sg to check our polyclinic queue before visiting us.
We thank Mr Azmi for his feedback and look forward to serving him at our polyclinic again.
