I RECEIVED a traffic summons for speeding along West Coast Highway on April 24.
I spotted two traffic policemen tracking the speed of car with a laser gun on the Telok Blangah Flyover.
However, I was certain they had made a mistake as I was driving well below the speed limit, behind a covered truck.
I went to the Traffic Police and asked to see photographs or documentary evidence of my alleged offence.
The police inspector on duty admitted the laser speed gun could not provide photographs.
I then asked how the police could prove I had broken the speed limit.
The inspector told me to pay up or go to court.
What is the use of a high-tech laser speed gun when it cannot even take a photo or do a print-out of the offending car?
